Jason Hitzeman is a full-time, tenured faculty member at Georgia Highlands College, where he has taught since 2004. He received a B.S. in Natural Sciences from Defiance College in 1996, an M.A. degree in Physiology from Ball State University in 1997, and an M.S. in Kinesiology from Georgia Southern University in 2018. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Sports Management from Troy University. Before coming to GHC, Mr. Hitzeman was a Biological Sciences Instructor at Allen Community College (2001-2004) and a Physiology Instructor/Lab Coordinator at Auburn University (1998-2001). He teaches courses in Human Anatomy & Physiology, Fitness & Health, CPR & First Aid, Fitness Walking & Jogging, Volleyball, Sports Media, and the Sociology of Sport. In addition to teaching, he also seves as the Sports Information Director for GHC Athletics.
